After police arrested dozens of Occupy Wall Street participants over the weekend, protestors marched to New York City Police Department headquarters today to demand the resignation of Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
Members of the Occupy Wall Street movement marched from Foley Square to One Police Plaza, the Lower Manhattan headquarters of the NYPD.
Besides wanting Kelly to resign, the demonstrators also sounded off about the arrests of about 73 people who clashed with police at Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan last weekend.
Police say they cleared Zuccotti because protestors were breaking park rules, but some protestors say those arrested were mistreated and attacked by police.
“On Saturday night, as I simply sat in a park, I was violently arrested with my friends and watched as blood-thirsty cops stomped on their faces, knelt on their necks, pulled them by their hair and slammed them into windows,” said Occupy Wall Street protestor Jen Waller.
I too am quite concerned about this, and don’t really accept that it was just “training.” The military and the private security of the elite (IE the police) don’t have a track record worthy of trust.

This is really scary, because I feel that they’re training to attack us. We’re seeing an uprising because we’re tired of our rights being taken from us, so they’re planning on riots happening, so they’re training to -shoot at us-.
There’s so many things that are freaking me out, rioters being labeled as terrorists under the hush hush NDAA and the brain washed soldiers just following orders and not fighting what they’re told, as well as the foreshadowing games like the rainbow six game: Patriots.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with “support” from Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm, Patriots revolves around “a dynamic single-player storyline that captures the reality of modern-day terrorism and allows players to experience it from multiple characters’ perspectives,” says Ubi.
As rumoured, the new game sees Team Rainbow take on a new terrorist threat called the “True Patriots,” a highly-trained, well-organized revolutionary group that claim the American government is irrevocably corrupted by greedy politicians and corporate special interests.
Playing as Team Rainbow, players will face critical scenarios that will require them to make tough ethical decisions in order to stop this new breed of terrorists, says Ubisoft.
According to earlier leaks the Patriots campaign will see payers encounter multiple “drastically” different mission endings based on their decisions in the story.Priming the need and desire for “counter-terrorism” on US civilians in young impressionable minds.

The protest was part of a nationwide “Day of Action” marking the two-month anniversary of the movement that started in New York as Occupy Wall Street.

Obama deploying 20,000 troops inside U.S. to prepare for an “event”?
This actually terrifies me. Can someone more educated in these matters enlighten me on all the implications of this?
I suppose, idealistically, I believed that with enough popular, unified opinion we would force the government to cut ties with corporate plutocracy and refocus its mission to serve the People. Though it had been niggling at the back of my mind, I had not truly considered that our local and corporate-bought governments would not only allow the use of police against the People, but would move our own troops against us. I clung to the belief that the government was not completely sociopathic. I think I understand where the gun-toting, down with government Tea Partiers get their stance - fear. They have a more cynical view of humanity and have no doubt the government will turn our own troops against the People and thus the people must remain armed (though how people could win without mass losses against the plethora of weapons of mass destruction our country has, I do not know) and must keep the government small. They are terrified.
Personally, I hate being controlled by fear and so I refuse to let it. However, I think it would be foolish not to be aware and prepared.
Why do YOU think troops are being deployed at home? For the military folk out there, do you think the culture within the troops is such that soldiers would be willing to follow orders against the American people?
This is why we MUST reach out to our military youth
